Als Booster fürs Gehirn präsentieren sich die bunten Früchte bei „Cherry on Top“, einem taktischen Familien-Kartenspiel des Wiener Spieleverlags Piatnik. Wer schafft es, größere Kartengruppen zu bilden als die Mitspielenden und die eigenen Handkarten zuerst abzulegen? Mit seinem handlichen Format als Pocketspiel eignet sich „Cherry on Top“ auch für unterwegs und sorgt deshalb nicht nur zuhause für gute Laune und Appetit auf eine nächste Runde. Bananen, Melonen und natürlich Kirschen stehen bei diesem herausfordernden Kartenspiel neben vier weiteren Früchten und sieben Farben im Mittelpunkt. Alle versuchen, bei ihrem Zug möglichst viele Karten mit der gleichen Farbe oder Frucht an bereits ausliegende Karten anzulegen und damit eine Gruppe zu bilden. Klingt einfach, kann aber ganz schön knifflig werden! Denn dabei ist Köpfchen gefragt: Wer taktisch vorgeht, bezieht bereits ausliegende Karten in seinen Zug mit ein und nutzt damit möglichst geschickt die Vorarbeit von Anderen. Erlaubt ist auch ein besonderer Twist, der den Spielverlauf ganz schnell in eine neue Richtung lenken kann: Bereits ausliegende Karten dürfen mit anderen Farben oder Früchten überdeckt werden. Das Ziel ist immer, sich in der gemeinsamen Kartenauslage zu überbieten und eine um mindestens eine Karte größere Gruppe zu bilden als der vorher Spielende. Das wird natürlich bei jedem Zug etwas komplizierter, sodass Spaß und Spannung kontinuierlich steigen. Wer allerdings bei dieser wachsenden Herausforderung nicht mithalten kann, muss leider passen und beim nächsten Zug auf mehr Glück hoffen. Haben jedoch alle der Reihe nach gepasst, startet eine neue Runde mit einer neu ausgelegten Karten-Gruppe. Gespielt wird solange, bis jemand seine letzte Handkarte ablegen kann und damit nach rund 15 Minuten Spielzeit gewinnt. Vielleicht mit Kirschen „on Top“? Wer Spiele mit unkomplizierten Regeln sucht, die aber trotzdem Köpfchen verlangen und einen kleinen Twist bieten, liegt mit „Cherry on Top“ genau richtig. Zwei bis fünf Personen ab acht Jahren wetteifern in dem von Autor Michael Diechtierow konzipierten „Ladder-Climbing-Spiel“ (Überbieten von bereits ausgespielten Karten) um den Sieg. Für gute Laune sorgen die modernen, farbenfrohen Illustrationen von Lars Besten und die richtigen Ideen für den perfekten Frucht-Mix.
