Eure Aufgabe bei Top it ist es, passende Begriffe zu bestimmten Themen zu finden. Diese müssen mit einem der im 3x3-Raster ausliegenden Buchstaben beginnen. Pro Begriff dürft ihr einen eurer Kegel auf das entsprechende Buchstabenplättchen stellen. Ihr spielt gleichzeitig und könnt eure Kegel auch „on top" anderer Kegel setzen, also obendrauf stapeln, wenn ihr einen anderen Begriff mit demselben Anfangsbuchstaben nennen könnt. Für jeden platzierten Kegel bekommt ihr 1 Punkt. Nur der oberste Kegel einer Farbe kann aber eine wertvolle 3er-Reihe bilden. Wer von euch zuerst 50 Punkte erreicht, ist top und gewinnt das Spiel.
