Tauche ein in eine Welt, in der die Kunst die Schwerkraft herausfordert und selbst die Steine zu träumen beginnen. Erschaffe geschwungene Formen, lasse Licht und Natur miteinander verschwimmen und erwecke einen visionären Stil zum Leben, der die Architektur für immer verändert hat. Antoni Gaudí, 1852 geboren, war ein visionärer katalanischer Architekt. Sein fantasievoller, unverwechselbarer Stil verband Gotik und Jugendstil. Ihr reist durch Gaudís Leben und Werk und sammelt Siegpunkte in den drei Quellen seiner Inspiration: Natur, Katalonien und Religion. Jede Inspirationsquelle punktet dabei anders: Naturkarten verschaffen euch Naturpunkte direkt beim Ausspielen. Katalonienpunkte werden meist am Rundenende gewertet und eure Religionspunkte zählt ihr überwiegend am Spielende zusammen. Der Schlüssel ist Balance – in die Endwertung zählen daher nur eure zwei niedrigsten Einzelwertungen. Ihr erhaltet Punkte durch ausgespielte Karten und Scherben, die ihr als Mosaik auf euer Tableau legt. »Trencadís« ist katalanisch und heißt so viel wie »viele kleine zerbrochene Dinge«, weshalb diese von Gaudí erfundene Mosaiktechnik diesen Namen erhielt. Auf den Karten entdeckt ihr diese filigranen Muster, auf eurem Tableau setzt ihr eure eigenen Trencadís zusammen. Das Spiel läuft über drei Runden. Reihum zieht ihr um den zentralen Kronleuchter auf dem Spielplan und wählt selbst, auf welchem Aktionsfeld ihr anhaltet: Karten ziehen, Karten ausspielen, Scherben verschiedener Art sammeln oder auf den Kaminen eures Tableaus emporsteigen. Mit diesen Vorräten spielt ihr Karten aus und steigt an den Kaminen auf eurem Tableau empor. Eine Runde endet, sobald alle einmal ganz um den Kronleuchter gezogen sind. Am Ende der dritten Runde gewinnt, wer am ausgewogensten gepunktet und damit die höchste Gesamtpunktzahl erreicht hat.
