Zarin Katharina die Große unternahm 1787 eine Reise auf dem Dnepr, um die Provinzen ihres Reiches zu inspizieren. Der Legende nach ließ Fürst Potjomkin entlang der Route Dörfer bauen, um den Eindruck von Wohlstand zu vermitteln. In Potemkinsche Dörfer müsst ihr in aller Eile gemeinsam diese prächtigen Fassaden errichten. Jede Person übernimmt dabei ein Rolle wie Pionier, Kulissenschieber, Kanzler oder Kundschafter, die jeweils mit besonderen Fähigkeit ausgestattet ist. Setzt diese klug ein und plant voraus, damit die Täuschung Katharinas scharfer Beobachtung standhält. Denn sollte der Schwindel auffliegen, fällt der gesamte Hof in Ungnade. Wer einen Stich gewinnt, nutzt die Fähigkeit seiner Rolle um Dörfer zu bauen, zu versetzen, den Trumpf zu bestimmen oder Katharinas Schiff stromaufwärts oder stromabwärts zu bewegen. Gelingt es euch, alle Handkarten loszuwerden, gewinnt ihr gemeinsam.
