On a windswept mountaintop, dim candlelight flickers as you gather around a heavy wooden chest, greed and unease hanging in the air. Sealed with the Pope's wax, this shipment was military goods bound for a border fortress — but you, penniless as you are, seized it, and it has become a major haul everyone covets. Inside are not only twenty barrels of beer and twenty bolts of silk, but also fifty boxes of tobacco hidden in a secret compartment at the bottom of the chest. These are no ordinary military goods: they are loot the Pope secretly plundered from the Church. The wrath of the papal court hangs over you like a sword. If the truth ever comes to light, all of you will be sent to the stake. The wealth before you is dangerous, yet far too tempting — no one wants to walk away empty-handed. Fortunately, you know the knights' guild needs these goods, so you can trade this stolen cargo for crystals, cuirasses, and the knights’ protection. You must negotiate and divide the loot quickly, and get rid of this “hot potato.” Whoever amasses the most wealth and the protection of the guilds will escape this mess and live in luxury in this chaotic world, becoming the ultimate winner of this loot-sharing.
