Crash Oktopus/ Oktopus Bowling

We were heading to our booth on Sunday morning when we stopped by Essen and saw this game set up—it looked like pure chaos and tons of fun! After a quick explanation from one of the staff members, we bought it and tested it out right away the next day. It’s shown here on the Take Time mat, which isn’t included. The goal is to collect five different treasures, but every time you manage to do that, the octopus gets a little angrier. Every now and then he completely loses his cool, and all players get a chance to knock other players’ treasures off their ships using a dice. It’s a truly great game where there’s actually no real winner—just lots of laughs. The game also includes three small mini-games. We tried Octopus Bowling, which looks easier than it actually is, but it’s still a lot of fun. Here too, you have to drop the dice onto the octopus’s head while trying to knock over as many objects as possible.
