Bei Fadenfroh legst du Stoffkarten in deine Auslage. Für die Farben und Symbole auf den Stoffkarten in deiner Auslage erhältst du Siegpunkte. Wann und wofür du genau Siegpunkte bekommst, hängt von den Wertungskarten der jeweiligen Runde ab. Doch deine Mitspieler konkurrieren mit dir um Stoffkarten und nützliche Materialien. Deshalb musst du in jeder Runde aufs Neue entscheiden: Wie lange kann ich noch Materialien sammeln, bevor jemand die idealen Stoffkarten vor mir wegschnappt? Wer am Ende des Spiels die meisten Siegpunkte hat, gewinnt!
