I'd love to hear about your favorite solo games to get some ideas for new purchases! If you could include the title and a super short description, that'd be awesome. Thanks!

- Kingdom Legacy - I'm using card sleeves and dry-erase markers here so I can play another round or maybe resell it later - Under Falling Skies - Dice Placement in a setting somewhere between Space Invaders and "Independence Day" - Gloomhaven - Lion's Claw as a solo dungeon crawler is just the right amount of content for me - Recently added to my solo table - Heat: Pedal to the Metal, a racing game with an incredibly easy-to-control automa and very tricky gameplay

I'll try to sort this out roughly: Dice Games: - Daydream (super because it's as variable as I want it to be in terms of difficulty and playtime) - Fliptown (really looking forward to Flip Voyage) - Kniffel for one (surprisingly nice) - Tiny Dungeon (dice-insertion game) Card Games: - Fate Flip Kingdom and Lost - Kinfire Delve currently my absolute favorite Others: - Witchbound (loved it and hope for an expansion)

Daydream is such a cozy game - I also love that there's even a playlist for the game, it makes it even more relaxing 😍

Here are some mostly cooperative games that also play really well solo, with quick descriptions: - Earthborne Rangers - Open World Adventure in a Solarpunk setting - Endeavor: Deep Sea - Explore the deep sea and complete missions - Star Trek: Captain's Chair - Deckbuilder with a great solo mode - 20 Strong - Various solo titles all based on the same core set of 20 dice - Neon Hope - Similar to Earthborne Rangers but in a Cyberpunk setting in future Berlin - Too Many Bones - Adventure with a clever dice-building mechanism - The Elder Scrolls: Adventure in the Elder Scrolls universe
I See you are a man of culture 🤓 starke Picks

Captain's Chair is my latest obsession and it’s totally hooked me—it’s awesome! Not just the Solo Mode, but the Solo Campaign too, which keeps me motivated long-term. Really looking forward to more Captains, enemies, and maps. There’s already a lot in the works. At 20 Strong next week, Nemesis and Tainted Grail are coming from the Gamefound campaign—I’m super hyped and will definitely report back!

I like to play solo often, just to relax. Last week it was Viticulture - with the Bordeaux expansion. This week it's Clan of Caledonia - Industry

Hoplomachus Victorum - The Breaker among solo games! You move your Gladiator camp relatively freely across a large map and fight epic battles on different islands with different playfields. It's a mega varied and really challenging game that comes with super high-quality components. A game lasts 4 acts until the final boss. Actually, the game has been set up permanently at my place for a few weeks now. I manage to play it about once a week for one to two hours because you really need to be awake and fresh in the head for it. But it's totally worth it—you have a great time and definitely forget about everyday life for a bit.

Momentarily brand new... Arkham Horror - Chapter 2 Atmospheric deckbuilder that brings a luck or rather bad luck factor through Chaos Tokens and really stirs up chaos. For a while now... Gloomhaven - The Lion's Paws Dungeon crawler with card-based combat control In between, again and again... Heat - Pedal to the Metal Cool fast-paced racing game ArtenGarten Very well thought-out zoo building game. The Lost Ruins of Arnak When you're in the mood for some adventure vibes.

Okay, here are my favorite solo board games that I own: * Dawn of the Zeds 3rd Edition: Make sure your city doesn’t get overrun by zombies with different characters. Super replay value and you play through preset difficulty/complexity levels. Very thematic but the game doesn’t always take itself too seriously. I’m not usually into zombie themes, but I was really surprised and it’s a ton of fun. * Tiny Epic Galaxies: Small box with a lot of content. Colonize planets using dice mechanics and don’t let your opponent mess with you. Simple but good. * Assault on Doomrock Ultimate Edition: Go on an adventure with 2 characters and try to survive until Act 3. The game is split into 2 phases: 1. Exploration and adventure 2. Defeat the final boss. And you do this 3 times before facing the end boss. High replay value, lots packed in the box. Super fun but really hard to master. I’ve never made it to Act 3 so far. * Mini Rouge: Mini dungeon crawler for quick sessions. Doesn’t take up much table space. You control a character exploring a multi-level dungeon and defeat the Undead King at the end. Small box but a fantastic game. * Robinson Crusoe: Not a pure solo game but works well solo. Survive on a deserted island with tons of different scenarios to play through (even more with the new adventure book) and there are tons of fan-made scenarios online. One example: My favorite fan scenario is at Christmas… Santa crashed on your island and you help him rescue his reindeer and fix his sleigh. Christmas is saved!… So you get super high replay value here too, but you don’t always win… * 7th Citadel: Supposedly the better version of 7th Continent. Unfortunately only available in English, but it’s a really solid solo adventure with over 800 cards!

Arler Erde - the companion booklet about the city is fantastic. The game is so chill. Dreamy worker placement with a strong theme.

Gotta be Spirit Island. The game works really well as a tense solo puzzle that’s different every time you play it.
