Zug um Zug Europa

🇩🇪 Original in German

Still a classic that I love to play. Just had it back on the table recently, and the start was a surprising free-for-all—everyone wanted to get Greece going. Quickly all the short routes in the area were gone—all I had left was a station, but my longest route was already gone by then. Still managed to win, though, since I mainly built long, point-scoring stretches.

It'd be nice if I ever won something. But I also think it doesn't matter what you write here—it'll just be another giveaway where they collect addresses, phone numbers, and my data. Still, I'm joining in—maybe I'll actually get lucky and win something for once.

Also, I can debunk your concerns—I actually won something! I wasn’t expecting it at all, but the chance was such a thrill 😊 and I was even happier because I usually don’t win anything in these kinds of giveaways... also, I think this platform is really well done so far, with a lot of personal effort from the admins, and I’ve already gotten some great ideas from it. In my opinion, it’s clear they’re not out to "scam addresses" or anything—the communication feels so personal, and you can really tell how passionate the admins are about the games 😁 Oh yeah, and you only have to give your address if you actually win something—otherwise, it’d be tricky to send the prize by mail 😅

I really like the game too, after ignoring Ticket to Ride for about eight years, I've gotten back into it and really enjoy it now.

Do the different versions actually only differ in the map, or do they also have their own slightly different rule set?

We still love that too even though we play lots of new games

I love it too, but I probably have the first version from America? Would really be interested in playing another variant with their differences! 😅

Absolutely one of our favorite games. We love having it on the table with Scandinavia again and again! We usually play it with two players, and I especially love Europe. The Scandinavia version is also great, but it can get pretty tricky because of the tight spaces. The Europe expansion is also worth recommending. We don’t play with the train stations, but the extra routes are definitely awesome!
