A super relaxed 2-player game of Great Western Trail gave us a cozy and fun evening. I’m always amazed at how smoothly and fluffily the game plays out and how every session brings a fresh tactical approach. After every round, the question pops up: "Should we leave it set up for tomorrow?"

That sounds great, I still remember playing a prototype of it in Ratingen and how excited everyone was about it back then. There was such a hype around Pfister's "new thing". The fact that it's lasted this long just shows how well it was designed.

Makes for a lot of fun, though I’ve found it’s enough to just go for the valuable cows—if you do that, you can ignore most other mechanics.
