Gaia Project

Yeah, it's basically the same gameplay as Terra Mystica. Back then, it was considered the successor to that. Just with a sci-fi theme instead. People online were always debating which one was better 🤔. I went with Gaia Project because of the cool solo mode. Cheers

Hey Lisa! Great that you're asking. The "Automa" simulates as much as needed a second player and is controlled via a very well-thought-out action deck with multifunctional cards. You only have the choice of 7 factions (instead of 14), but it works great. Of course, it takes a bit of getting used to, some test rounds, and you'll definitely make mistakes at first. 😅 No resource management for the Automa, but the rest is nicely implemented and already ruins the plan of any forward-looking tactic 👍. The difficulty can be adjusted, from "Automa-lite" to "Ultoma". In the example image, you can see that two cards are always placed next to each other, and only the left and right halves of the two cards count as one action, which you then implement on the game board. I'm definitely thrilled 😁. But at some point, I'll want to try Terra Mystica too. 💓 Board game greetings!
