I'm already a huge fan of the idea of a platform for easy and hassle-free sharing of gaming experiences. You can get inspired by both new and older games here.

Nice idea and I like the concept behind it! Though maybe instead of an open description, you could add some concrete questions about the game. That way, if someone's interested in a specific game, they get more info right away and also know what it's called.

We thought about that too, but we wanted the access to be as easy as possible. If three questions would stop someone from posting, we’d rather just have a free text field where everyone can post whatever they like.

Hey, can we create queries too?

That’s the plan, I just need to test and think everything through once before we roll out the "Feature"!

Cool, really happy about that! Sounds like a nice spot on the internet, which the scene is overall anyway.

Above all, it really shows what makes the board game community so special. A thrilling mix of trying to "professionalize" and organize the hobby to make it accessible to even more people while keeping that feeling of being part of a small, personal, and family-like community. I think you’re all doing a great job here, just like everyone else who’s involved!

Thanks, I'm also fascinated by all the different games I've seen some of which I've never even heard of before. A great insight into the community that makes me want to bring the next game to the table myself!

Hey, since older games keep popping up here, I’m suddenly in the mood to play them again. Great format!

That's exactly where the hidden gems are, not always just the new generic stuff, but good old games 💪

So far, I think the concept is pretty good, but it could use some improvements. Let's see if people stick around or lose interest. The problem is, you don’t want to add too many features because then it loses its simplicity, which is actually what makes it attractive—otherwise, you’d just end up building another Facebook or something similar. Maybe instead of the usual heart/emoji reactions, you could add reactions that express specific things like "I’ve played this too," "it’s on my wishlist," or "sounds interesting." Then, for example, you could show which post got the most "sounds interesting" reactions in the last month, etc. Another idea: a way to only see posts that are new to you. Like, I was on the site yesterday and now I’m back and want to see what’s been posted since my last visit. Maybe a button that scrolls your feed down to the last post you saw. The big tile format of the posts in the feed makes scrolling take forever. The events section could be useful, but right now it’s overwhelming because it feels like there are hundreds of events listed for every day all over the world. Or alternatively, you have to go through each city one by one. I’d love to see a distance limit like "50km from my city."

Got it! Here’s the casual, friendly translation: --- I’ve saved your feedback. Little by little, things will definitely keep changing and getting better—that’s why we’re asking for feedback in the first place. Only then can the site adapt to everyone’s needs. Your idea about reactions is a good one; we’ll just have to figure out how to implement it in a way that makes sense and is clear for everyone. What already works is saving posts with the bookmark icon (like a little shield). That way, you can bookmark games you might want to try later. In your profile, these show up under “Saved,” and it works the same for events and crowdfunding—though it’s probably less useful for deals. For pre-orders, it might still be worth adding. The “continue where you left off” feature is a great idea—I just need to check if it’s technically possible. We’ve actually already planned for users to add their location in their profile, so we can pre-filter events based on that. But all of this takes time—we’re still in the beta phase of the project. Right before the big launch, all the core features should be solid, and then in late fall/winter, we’ll tackle the bigger stuff. If it happens faster, awesome—but I won’t make any promises!

Your suggestions are really great! Anything that helps bring some order to this wonderfully creative chaos is personally very welcome to me.

That’s a great idea, I hope it catches on! You could also add the city to your profile for offline meetups and maybe link your BGA profile so people can arrange games right away.

I already really like it for the start. I especially like that you can search for games and then see what people have posted about them. I think it would be great if everyone always included the game titles in the titles, like you guys intended. For the events, I share the opinion of others that a filter function by location or something similar would be helpful. I also like the News section and am curious what else is coming.

Daniel Editorial

🇩🇪 Original in German

yep, we’ve still got a lot on the list and even more requests keep coming in. pretty much anything’s possible as long as it makes sense. splitting the headline and game title is already in the works and currently being proofread.

I really like the site so far, I've already discovered some interesting stuff. I still need to get more familiar with the search and filter functions, it was a bit overwhelming and chaotic for me at times. That's why I'm giving it a solid "good" for now as an indicator that there's still room for improvement. For the events section, there have already been some great suggestions, especially the filter function with the radius finder—I think that's awesome. What actually annoyed me a bit is that whenever you click "read more" on a post, pop-ups and banners appear that are a bit tricky to close on a smartphone. It can get a bit frustrating. I get that revenue sources are important, but maybe the pop-ups could be tweaked or removed a bit more.

Finally, no PS5 season in the family round, just good old-school board games. Thanks for the suggestions!

I can totally agree with "spielverderber," you can really get great info, it's really a great thing.

If the game moments are supposed to provide added value, I'd need way more info than just 1-2 lines from the authors. But we already have BGG for that—so what's the actual added value here? Also, the games would need some kind of categorization, otherwise it's just a pile of content with no way to find something specific. One idea: link the info about the game moment to the game selection on BGG. That way, you'd get extra game features, categorization, and definitely a subjective score from the author. Gruß Joachim

Daniel Editorial

A BGG connection is basically possible and we've already thought about that direction. The thing is, the platform would then become dependent, and connections could be cut off quickly. Sure, we'll all find a good way together to optimize how the data is displayed. 😄

Daniel Editorial

🇩🇪 Original in German

The platform wasn't something I knew about. It's not like everyone with an idea can be sure there's a similar one somewhere else in the world—that'd be presumptuous. Forums do the same thing, and they've been around since the internet existed. Even on BGG forums, people are super active sharing stuff. I think it's like games—with all the variety out there, the world just gets better 😉

Features to document your own game collection (optionally visible to the public so you can compare tastes with others). N board game tinder would be funny: find people in your city to play with based on which games you swiped left or right on. And then features to archive your game history would be cool. Like being able to log which game you played, how often, with whom, and the outcome.

A DB for board games was something we had thought about too, and we're already working on creating a prototype. All your suggestions have been taken as feedback. We can't promise we'll be able to implement everything or how fast it'll go, but thanks anyway!

In the "Termine" section, there's a calendar that tells me, for example, that there are 33 appointments scheduled for 10.10., but I can't see which appointments those are (or I haven't found a way to). How long does it take for an appointment to be reviewed before it's approved, and will I get a notification about the status?

Daniel Editorial

🇩🇪 Original in German

Currently, I'm still doing it manually to get a feel for it and maybe give some feedback. I need to set it up so I get notified when something is submitted. You can really narrow down the list using the filters and location + country selection.
