Final Titan

Game 4

🇩🇪 Original in German

To wrap things up, we played Final Titan: another absolutely awesome game. It was described to me as a mix of King of Tokyo and Magical Athlete. That description is definitely on point in some ways. Each player has 3 Titans, and you fight 1v1 in the arena. Last Titan standing wins. The spectators bet on the winner. Since the fights were often resolved in just 30 seconds (I think the longest one didn’t even last 5 minutes) and the betting mechanic keeps everyone involved, it didn’t feel like there was any downtime. The round had more laughs than Tornado Splash and was my next highlight after Greenwood. Highly recommended!

Sounds really interesting! I’m just a bit undecided because I watched a prototype Let’s Play on YouTube where they pointed out a few downsides: - There aren’t enough upgrade cards, and they keep dwindling, even though they’re actually a main source of fun - You get excited about your Titan having awesome abilities, but most of the time they never come into play because the Titan just dies What do you think? :)

Every now and then, a Titan would die pretty quickly. But that was usually the champion who had already won a fight beforehand. It’s hard for me to judge since we only played one round. The card issue seems to be real. The owner of the game even bought the expansion because of it and shuffled it right in. The Titan deck was massive! The upgrade deck, on the other hand, was really cute. I haven’t checked for deals yet. Yesterday, people were talking about €80 for the base game plus the expansion. That feels too much for me. I’ll keep an eye on the market for now 😉
