Greenwood

Next up was Greenwood. What an awesome game! Rule explanation took just 10 minutes, for two players, both playing their first game, aside from one solo playthrough by the person explaining the rules. Everything made perfect sense. The symbols are easy to understand, and the player aid leaves nothing to be desired. Kudos to Feuerland! By the way, the artwork is fantastic too. It didn’t really come across that way in the photos beforehand—especially the game board looked rather boring to me at first glance. The game wraps up surprisingly quickly, with a playtime of around 60 minutes. But you don’t get the feeling it should be longer or shorter. Of course, we jumped straight into playing with the asymmetric factions. I wouldn’t recommend anything else, since the factions constantly change the game experience for everyone. Total recommendation from me. Definitely give it a try! And this isn’t a lie 😉
