Burnt Kernel Studios ist ein familiengeführtes Spieleentwicklungsstudio aus Australien. Die Idee zu Disaster Draft entstand auf einem Familien-Roadtrip durch das australische Outback. Kein Empfang. Keine Bildschirme. Nur wir – und die Frage, wer das Ende der Welt tatsächlich überleben würde. Aus dieser verrückten Unterhaltung entstand ein Party-Kartenspiel, bei dem die Spieler ein Team ungewöhnlicher Überlebender zusammenstellen, sie in absurde Katastrophen schicken und J.A.N.E.T., unsere KI-Jurorin, über ihr Schicksal entscheiden lässt.
