The year is a wheel, and eight great dragons turn it. This is a complete digital bestiary of eight wholly original dragons — one for each station of the Wheel of the Year — from the First-Waker who wakes the frozen ground too soon, to the Ember-Bearer who carries the last light through the longest night. These are not treasure-hoarding brutes waiting to be slain. Each embodies the meaning of its season: the Grain-Sovereign collects a harvest-tithe and blights the land that refuses to pay. The Hollow-King holds the veil between the living and the dead — kill it, and the door stays open. The Debt-Keeper remembers every blow your party strikes and calls the debt due. Every one is a force the world needs and cannot simply be rid of, and every encounter ends in a genuine moral choice where the sword is the bluntest, most dangerous option on the table.
